Going to a design conference can answer many different reasons and all equally valid: there is no single correct answer. Some people attend to see the reference they most admire, learn something unknown, enjoy an unforgettable evening, build lasting relationships or find work; others, to get out of your comfort zone, face challenges, change your mind, or simply be surprised. However idyllic these claims may sound, the reality is far from perfect, and many design conferences fail miserably.
